It was in 2004 that I decided to head off on the below route around Queensland and fossick on the way and also do a bit of site seeing as I went. The route took me to many fossicking sites and areas of extreme beauty. I have included the below for any of you who may choose to travel a similar route. On the below spreadsheets there are many hyperlinks to other web sites of information. As I complete further journeys I will include those on this page as well.

The Idea of the trip was to include Gem Fossicking, and site / sight seeing, which would have a little bit of something for the whole family. Way back in 1998 I created this concept of Gem Safaris for my Gem Club and had coined the phrase "Gem Safari" way back then. The Gem Safari I ran in 2000 I think was the best of all. The below routes takes you to areas where you can fossick for various rocks, minerals, gemstones and gold. With these routes you can take as little or as long as you like to complete them.
